The Centres of Area Studies and innovative Research are envisaged to function within the structure of the School and are expected to initiate and innovate the specialised/frontier areas of research within their setting.

(d)  Centre for Cross-National Communication in South Asia (CCCS)

(f)   Centre for Strategic and Security Studies (CSSS)


RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
  • Scholars work on a range of topics: IR and Political Theory; Political Economy; foreign policy; Social and Political Movements; Public Policy, Human Rights; Intellectual Property Rights; Nuclear Policy; Aspects of Globalization; and Area Studies
  • 21 Scholars have been awarded PhD from the School.
  • Currently 48 scholars pursue research.
  • 12 Scholars pursue M.Phil studies every year.
  • 7 Project Fellows working under Major Research Projects 

CURRENT RESEARCH WORK

  • 48 research scholars are presently working for PhD in different areas of foreign policy, defence policy, Indias foreign trade, intellectual property rights, gender studies, human rights etc.  
  • Five Major Research Projects (UGC and ICSSR) and two Minor Research Projects are underway.
